Hola, woke up with a few aches in my body…wierd pain in my thigh, familiar pain in my right knee and right shoulder, not to concerned, probably my body adjusting to all the training and intense heat. Couldnt wait to start practice and begin healing my body.

So we are into the 4th day of Gannon yoga teacher training, Mysore at 7am again was challenging but “if it doesnt challenge you it doesnt change you….managed to really embrace the heat of the Loft today, i saw a post that said Love your sweat….and that is so appropriate for the practice.  Michael gave me a nice deep adjustment in Parivrtta Parsvakonasana, felt so good.
Minnar gave me such a great Marichyasana D adjustment my spine turned to the beyond…love that feeling of wow my body just did that? And yay he got me to cross my legs not quite behind my head but crossing above the crown of the head in Supta Kurmasana. Slowly slowly and shoulder feels great, pain in thigh gone and knee feels great as well. My intention for practice today was to heal my bodies niggles and….voila!

After coming out of sleeping yogi i felt elated, my skin has started glowing, Astanga scrubs you clean from the inside, physically and emotionally. After the usual quick shower and change and snack and as much liquid as is possible…we were back in the space to learn more of the standing postures…how to teach them and adjust……we practiced practiced on each other.

Michael is alway on top form, i dont know how he does it? He gives so much to us and Minnar always helping wherever he is needed.

Aaaaand back for more, learning posture adjustments…at the end of the day we went into groups of 3 and one was the teacher….the sequence was taught and adjustments included, up till Utita Hasta padangusthasana then last 4 postures of finishing sequence, Baddha Padmasana, Yoga Mudra, Padmasana and Uplitihih…final rest.

We finished 30 mins early today and the heavens opened, down came the rain. With the help of Claudia I wrapped my bag in my raincoat and off i went cycling into the warm showers..what fun, racing through the puddles and the odd taxi driving passed giving me an extra shower as they splashed through bigger puddles. I was singing the opening mantra all the way home..Vande Gurunam charanaravinde….some of us said it with our group today and i fluffed the one line….i say it sometimes 4 times a day at the studio and i forgot a line…oh well tomorrow is another day…Namaste
